It was a treat to present PHOTARCH on my home turf at Scania Photo Day, part of Sweden’s National Photo Days, a multi-city photography event organised by Kamera & Bild and Zoom Fotoresor. The event brought together professionals, enthusiasts, and industry leaders to explore photography from a wide range of perspectives — from creative expression to technical innovation.

I was invited to talk about my work with PHOTARCH and FujiFilm Nordic. In addition to the talk, I gave a live demonstration of the PHOTARCH setup on-site together with Profoto. It was great to show how controlled light, white backgrounds, and scale references come together in practice — and to answer detailed questions from photographers and heritage professionals curious about technical workflows.

A personal highlight was sharing the stage with Mattias Klum, whose work documenting nature and fragile ecosystems has been a major inspiration to me for years. His ability to combine visual storytelling with a deep sense of responsibility felt closely aligned with what I aim to do in the archaeological field.

Scania Photo Day was a powerful reminder of how different branches of photography — from landscape to cultural heritage and documentary work — can intersect and inform one another in meaningful ways.

Many thanks to Fujifilm for the trust, to Profoto for the gear, and to Kamera & Bild and Zoom Fotoresor for creating space for these important conversations.
